Originally from Western Pennsylvania, I've traveled far and wide searching for good music, good times, and an animal or two to care for. I'm a real farm girl with hogs and horses in my back yard and I'm a firm believer that every day gives us something to celebrate!
In Loving Memory of My Mom, Debra K. Decker-Bates 11/29/51 - 4/22/07
There's just no way to put everything about my mom in a few words. What she lacked in stature, she made up for in presence. She loved life. She loved being a mom. She loved her dogs, which now live with me. If motherhood is measured in belief in her children, she was Mom of the Year. She's pictured above on one of the proudest days of her life... my brother (and dearest friend) Ben's college graduation. There's just no way to prepare for the loss of your parent. I guess we'll have to borrow a page from her book and take it One Day At A Time. Love you, Mom. Miss you every day.
www.AlcoholicsAnonymous.org AA and The Program gave my mom 18 wonderful years of Serenity. If you or someone you know is abusing alcohol, AA has hope.
