My Mom, Debra K. Decker-Bates

There's just no way to put everything about my mom in a few words. What she lacked in stature, she made up for in presence. She loved life. She loved being a mom. She loved her dogs, which now live with me. If motherhood is measured in belief in her children, she was Mom of the Year. She's pictured above on one of the proudest days of her life... my brother (and dearest friend) Ben's college graduation. There's just no way to prepare for the loss of your parent. I guess we'll have to borrow a page from her book and take it One Day At A Time.

"Barefoot Bandit" Signs 1.3 Million Movie Deal. Seriously?

20 yr old Colton Harris-Moore pulled off a cross-country bank robbing spree (in his bare feet) to which he pleaded guilty in June. Apparently, we're gonna spend money to see his story on the big screen, according to 20th Century Fox. Pass the popcorn, extra butter please.
