No one ever believes me when I tell them I'm a real live Florida native. Yep, some of us aren't snowbirds!
Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE to cook! My family is Cuban and Sicilian, so Latin and Italian foods are some of my favorites, but I love to try new recipes and dishes as often as I can... Got a recipe you think I should try? Send it to me!
Some of my other interests are baseball (Go Rays!), wine, eating (hey, it goes with the cooking!), music, travel, and Boston, my cat. I also LOVE zombie shows--The Walking Dead on AMC is one of my favorites, and I'm also into Breaking Bad, The Food Network, HGTV and The Travel Channel.
Billy Currington is facing charges of making "terroristic threats" against a fellow Georgia resident, reports the Athens Banner-Herald. Details are few and far between at this time, but the newspaper claims the country singer was indicted by the Chatham County Grand Jury on Wednesday (April 24) for allegedly inflicting mental anguish on Charles Harvey Ferrelle. The accuser is over the age of 65, thus Currington faces an additional charge of elderly abuse.
Local news station WSAV further reports that the incident happened April 15 in the waters off Tybee Island, a coastal town in Georgia. Police tell the news station that Currington and Ferrelle had a verbal argument at a dock owned by the singer. After Farrelle reportedly moved to a nearby dock, Currington boarded his boat and followed, shortly after which police became involved. No one was arrested.
OMG! I loved The Hunger Games! Actually, I thought the book was better than the movie (isn't that always the case?) but that didn't stop me from getting REALLY excited about the new preview for Hunger Games: Catching Fire that premeired last night at the MTV Movie Awards. Take a look!
It took a team of 14 bakers, pastry chefs, and candy artists nearly 3,000 hours to create the world’s first edible pop-up hotel in Soho, London. The hotel welcomed its first guests this week, a couple who enjoyed a carpet made of meringues, bouquets of sugar roses, fudge windowsills, spongecake pillows, 100 pieces of edible art, and a clawfoot bathtub full of caramel corn. Get your blood sugar medication ready, and check out the photos!
You can eat those pillows! And the book, too!
Yes, you can eat those flowers!
I love this song, and the video makes me love it even more!
